I made the decision when Miles was a baby that I would try to make my kids' Halloween costumes. So far, so good. This year we had a skeleton and the season of fall.
We kicked off the weekend by heading to the Halloween party at Highland with some friends. John hated his costume (too itchy), but the bigger kids had a blast. They played in the "pumpkin patch" and danced like fools to the DJ. So cute!
Then Sunday we dressed up again (the boys, not Josh and me) and headed over to our neighbors'. Miles had been sick last year so we hadn't made the rounds for candy. He wasn't too sure what to do this year but picked it up pretty well. Unfortunately Josh and I forgot (really?!) that we hadn't had lunch so the poor child was starving about 8 houses into the walk. After some dinner he was a new boy! John stayed behind with daddy to man the candy station.
