Splish Splash

Mise was takin' a bath.

With his new water table, that is. Santa brought Miles a water table for use this summer OUTSIDE, but we couldn't resist. We set it up in the basement on our "waterproof" carpet and let Miles have at it. He thought it was the greatest thing ever. Pouring water all over himself, the floor, etc.

Christmas was really lovely this year. Well, it's always wonderful, but this year was especially great with Miles at an age where he could enjoy the festivities. We stayed in town for Christmas Eve and Day morning, something we haven't done in all the years Josh and I have been together. We had a wonderful meal with the Habegger family at Nate and Cassie's, then came home and viewed our traditional Christmas movie, Love Actually. We headed to my parents on Christmas Day and spent a little time with Lu and Kurt before they headed off to celebrate with his family. The Ft. T visit was really special this year because we spent time with my uncle Ned and cousin Jennifer. Josh and I hadn't seen them since Lu and Kurt's wedding! They are such dear and fun people, and we really enjoyed the visit. We also got to catch up with our friends, the Fritsche's. Miles liked Ben a lot, so much so that he thought it appropriate to eat Ben's pancakes right off of his plate!

A few Christmas pics. For some reason blogger was giving me an error message when I tried to post more pics. Here are a couple that worked.

After the chaos.

Josh very generously gave Miles and me a new bike and buggy. Can't wait to try it out!

Actually I tried the bike on Sunday when it was semi-warm. It's awesome!!

Christmas came early

for the Habeggers. Josh's family came over on Saturday for a yummy meal and afternoon/evening of visiting, playing Wii, eating, etc. Miles had a great time with his cousins, as always.

Before we celebrated, we headed downtown to see Santa and his reindeer.

Then on Sunday, Miles had the good fortune to meet Santa at the Highland Santa Brunch, this time all decked out in a spiffy robe. Miraculously Miles gave Santa a smile both times and sat nicely on his lap. Wonder what he asked for...

Shine Your Light

Josh got into the competitive spirit this year with lights. He spent the good bit of an afternoon just after Thanksgiving stringing lights all around the house. Meanwhile, our neighbors across the street were stringing their lights.

Josh came inside after it got dark and decided that we needed more lights. Several other neighbors followed suit and our street is quite the winter wonderland.

Last weekend we had our annual holiday party. Miles was quite happy to help get ready for the evening's festivities.

And a couple of miscellaneous pictures...

Tackle! With the Stormer girls.

Still loves to jump. He's about at the weight limit, though!

Gobble Gobble and Happy Birthday!

Here we are into December already, and I'm just now getting around to posting our Thankgiving pics. Oh well, it's only been a week, right?
We spent a lazy couple of days in Berne over Thanksgiving eating fabulously and lounging on the great new furniture. :) Then we came home in time to celebrate Josh's 33rd birthday on Sunday (along with an ugly Colts win).

This new chair is comfy. And it seats 4 just fine!

Miles has started chasing Archie all over the place. Even after he is bitten, he'll cry and then go right back for more.

My November birthday boys.

Reinbaby and Reindog.

So cute.
