I've been using my phone a lot more to take pictures than I would like. It's just so convenient! And compact. I also discovered a new app, Camera+, that I'm obsessed with. 

We're having a fun summertime around here. Miles is off to Lolly and Poppy's for a few days so it'll be quiet around here! 

The Tarkington

Today I took my oldest son and a niece and nephew to the thee-a-taaa see the Junior Civic Theater production of Once Upon a Shoe. Our adorable neighbor was performing, and Miles has a pretty sizable crush on her. The children were so well behaved, and we even were able to meet a few cast members afterward. Miles was very shy when he got to see miss Natalie. So adorable.

I love that I was able to take these cuties to the theater. My grandma used to take my sister, my cousin, and me to the junior symphony when we were growing up, and I have such fond memories of that. I think the arts are so important, and I really want my children to have an appreciation. We are so lucky to have this young theater group here locally (and the theater they perform in is quite swanky!).

Happy Father's Day

A quick shout out to my amazing hubby. My children are so fortunate to have such a wonderful daddy, a funny, silly, honest, kind, smart, playful, teaching kind of daddy. And we are both so lucky to have such great dads ourselves, dads who we were able to spend some time with this Father's Day. Happy Father's Day!

John is spending the week with his grandparents. It's very quiet around here. It's nice, though, to have a little extra Q.T. with Miles and Lauren. And I know John is having a blast. Can't wait to see him Thursday!

Eight Months Old

Wow! A few things about our sweet baby Lauren -  extremely happy... smile nearly all of the time... love your brothers -  they both are experts at making you giggle... interested in touching Archie, and he loves you... popped your bottom two teeth through... enjoying solids more... very vocal... very spitty still...  love to eat your feet and suck on your hands.

Pretty much sums up my boys this past week. I don't know if it's the schools out bug that has turned my sweet children into naughty little monkeys. I hear it's happening in other households around here, too. Anyway, it's Monday. Another week. It's going to be much better, I can feel it.

Last week we went to Fort Thomas to surprise my dad for his birthday. Our surprise was a success! Lucie was in town, and we had a wonderful visit. We tried to take a picture with Poppy. This is what I mean by naughtiness. Someone hit someone. Or something like that. Our week in a photo.

Really, he has the naughty look down pat!
