Special Visit

My mom and my uncle came up for a visit yesterday. Since Ned lives in Idaho, we don't get to see him very often. It was a very special treat to have them both here for the day/night. Miles took the opportunity to show off and was in rare form last night. Thanks for the visit!

Thursday Miles and I met Deanna and Connor at the apple orchard. It was a perfect day and we collected some yummy apples, but Miles was still fighting his cold and wasn't totally in the mood. He is fully recovered by now, thank goodness!
Miles and Connor

Not his happiest face, but doesn't he look huge! He's getting so tall.

A random from today. Nice bruise on the head, huh?

1st day back to school

Miles had his first day back to Parent's Day Out on Friday. We had a "meet the teacher" day on Wednesday, and he just marched in like a champ and started playing right away, so I wasn't too worried about him on Friday. He did really well, I hear. So well, in fact, that he didn't need his "Yapper" (ie lovey) the whole time and actually left it behind. My parents picked him up from school and stayed with him all weekend while Josh and I had a weekend away in Michigan. So relaxing and wonderful!

Boy or Girl?

Well, we don't know (sorry Jules). We did have our ultrasound last week, though, and managed to catch (despite the old school machine) a few good glimpses of the little guy/gal. Any thoughts?

Lake Trip

We spent part of our Labor Day weekend on a lake in southern MI with the Habegger family. We had a great time visiting with cousins and aunts & uncles, chasing wild man around, hanging out by the lake, and relaxing. Miles hadn't been to a real beach before; he is now hooked!

Score!

Walking with daddy

This squishy sand and brown water thing is fun!

Getting ready for his first tubing ride.

Not from the weekend. We took Miles out to Highland on Thursday for a little golf & dinner. He had a blast!

Peekaboo!

We spent the day on Saturday hanging out with my parents while Josh had a boy's day in Cincinnati. Miles was a little rowdy at dad's store, so we did contain him in a giant pot. He thought it was hilarious and played a giggly game of peekaboo.
