March brought more warm days for sharing Arnold Palmer's and playing outside with friends, a happy-to-be-outside Arch, sweet Friday afternoon treats, lots of giggles over that silly app, an exciting IU tournament victory and a bummer of a loss, and a fun Easter weekend in Fort T.

february 2016...
Scenes from February... prepping for our annual Valentine's Day party, playing at Grandma and Grandpa's, getting her om on, hanging out in the teepee that I finally put together (that doesn't stay together very well), a spring teaser of a February day, finishing off a great 1st basketball season, Dad's night at KOK, a boy and his dog, and one of my favorite sites - M with his face in a book.

january 2016..
A little glimpse of our January...
Roasting hotdogs by the fire(place).
Singing with Elsa.
Celebrating our big six year old with a blue shark cake and a trip to the bowling alley.
There were two Iron Man balloons floating around our house. I think one head is still around here somewhere.
Lauren and I took a little field trip to the Central Library. Quite a sight!
Lauren spent a couple of days in Fort T. Saying their goodbyes and checking out the penguins at the Newport Aquarium.
Slumber party time. Starting over Christmas break, they want to have slumber parties in the boys' room every weekend night. So sweet!

november/december 2015...
So I'm a little behind on keeping this here bloggy updated. At my sweet dad's urging, I'm going to post a monthly roundup of some of my favorite pictures, starting with the remainder of 2015. Here goes...
We had so much fun celebrating Miles' birthday. He wanted to bowl again this year, so we did that along with some gross jelly beanboozling and a sleepover.
We've played plenty of Xbox on cold evenings after dinner. I love how this game takes pictures of them in action.
Next up was Josh's big 4-0. The kids worked really hard on crowns for him and couldn't wait to celebrate. They did a pretty job of keeping a few surprises, too.
After all of the birthdays, we were into full Christmas mode. As our usual, we made our gingerbread houses and took lots of drives to look for blow-ups (and pretty lights). Lauren had her Christmas program at school that she practiced extensively for at home. She sang her little heart out up there on stage.
This year the grandmas and I took Lauren to see the Nutcracker. She really liked the first half but couldn't quite get why it stopped in the middle and then we had to go back. We had to take a little dancing break outside before we could go back in. I also was asked to go on John's field trip to Conner Prairie. Definitely a highlight of the season. It was so much fun to see him with his little friends. Plus, he really liked having me there.
Then it was Christmas. We had a beautiful holiday and such a fun break with everyone home. There's a picture down there of our pretty lanterns going off on Christmas Eve. They were so pretty, until one came down where it wasn't supposed to. There was some excitement but fortunately no harm.
John lost his first tooth, Miles lost two more (including one on Christmas Eve!) and we finished out the year with way too much confetti and lots of laughing.

eight years old...
The happiest of birthdays to our sweet Miles. The boy with such a happy and kind spirit, who loves his brother and sister to pieces, showers all kinds of affection on our animals, and who could spend all day every day exploring in our woods or playing with his friends across the street. Eight years old!
