So I'm a little behind on keeping this here bloggy updated. At my sweet dad's urging, I'm going to post a monthly roundup of some of my favorite pictures, starting with the remainder of 2015. Here goes...
We had so much fun celebrating Miles' birthday. He wanted to bowl again this year, so we did that along with some gross jelly beanboozling and a sleepover.
We've played plenty of Xbox on cold evenings after dinner. I love how this game takes pictures of them in action.
Next up was Josh's big 4-0. The kids worked really hard on crowns for him and couldn't wait to celebrate. They did a pretty job of keeping a few surprises, too.
After all of the birthdays, we were into full Christmas mode. As our usual, we made our gingerbread houses and took lots of drives to look for blow-ups (and pretty lights). Lauren had her Christmas program at school that she practiced extensively for at home. She sang her little heart out up there on stage.
This year the grandmas and I took Lauren to see the Nutcracker. She really liked the first half but couldn't quite get why it stopped in the middle and then we had to go back. We had to take a little dancing break outside before we could go back in. I also was asked to go on John's field trip to Conner Prairie. Definitely a highlight of the season. It was so much fun to see him with his little friends. Plus, he really liked having me there.
Then it was Christmas. We had a beautiful holiday and such a fun break with everyone home. There's a picture down there of our pretty lanterns going off on Christmas Eve. They were so pretty, until one came down where it wasn't supposed to. There was some excitement but fortunately no harm.
John lost his first tooth, Miles lost two more (including one on Christmas Eve!) and we finished out the year with way too much confetti and lots of laughing.
