the strawberry patch...

We started our summer vacation at the strawberry patch. The weather that first week of break was a little iffy (as in a lot chilly) but it made for a perfect strawberry picking' morning.

We made it home with nearly 10 pounds of perfect red berries. No white ones, no smooshy ones. The kids were on a mission! Before we had arrived the boys were asking if we could get ice cream. Oh, the things they remember. So we had ice cream after.

And some randoms of our summer so far. We joined a new pool which has proven to be a great thing! After our first swim we were walking to the car when Lauren looked at me out of the blue and said, "Mommy, that was the best pool ever." Lucie came into town for a little birthday celebrating and to see the Alabama Shakes concert at White River with me. We've made it to Conner Prairie and the playground, Berne and had a girls' weekend.

Miles' handiwork, three peas in a pod, Miles reading to Arch (I have been finding him out reading to himself a lot so far this summer. Makes me so happy!), mini-French braids, water balloon fights, and Lauren as Doc.
