Last week the kids and I met my parents in Madison/Hanover for a little picnicking and hiking. My mom and I have been talking about making this little summer day trip for a couple of years now and it finally worked out! John and Lauren had never been to HC (Miles was only a baby his only trip down) so they thought the campus was pretty cool. We drove in Scenic Drive and came across the Phi Delt house first - Miles reaction was "Whoaaa." If he only knew how unimpressive it was inside. :)
We had a picnic at the Point and drove over to Clifty for a little hiking. I had forgotten how crazy steep the trail was so I was a little nervous trying to keep up with my little hikers. It is so beautiful, though!
I followed my parents back to Ft. T for a little visit and we had to make our summer trip to see the Big Boy (the kids wanted to go there instead of a movie!).
We came home on Saturday and had a sweet Father's Day on Sunday. We took the kids to see Inside Out (at Flix - not sure how we'll ever go to another movie theater after going here), washed the cars, went for a swim, and grilled out. A pretty great weekend.
And some randoms of life lately... our favorite harmonica band, little painted fingernails, feeding the ducks, and cute little post swimming curls.
