Summer is flying by way too quickly. This week calls for back to school events and filling out school paperwork. We'll try to squeeze in some fun, too.
A couple of weeks back Josh was invited to participate in the Rusty Wallace Racing Experience. He enjoyed driving 120 mph. The boys enjoyed watching him.
The next day we headed to Fort Thomas. My dad has a contact at the zoo who gave us a personal Q&A with the gorilla keeper. The male (below) even painted us a picture!
Touch-A-Truck was the next week. Miles wasn't able to go but I took the little ones. John's first request was the trolley. Anyone else think it's a little strange that the trolley was the Tipsy Trolley and their handouts were koozies? At a children's event?
John's favorite. We waited FOREVER for this one.
The boys were swimming right after so we didn't have time for our traditional Patachou. We had Flying Cupcakes poolside instead.
Last weekend we moved John into share a room with Miles. So far it's worked out pretty well. Miles has asked several days if he and Johnny can share a room that night. It gets a little rambunctious at times, but they are enjoying it.
Over this past weekend our children headed to Berne while we spent time with some friends up from Alabama. The boys played in a golf tournament while the girls enjoyed some relaxing and quiet time. At the tournament dinner...
And some randoms. Lauren having a sweet treat, John showing off his upper arm strength, Miles' new shoes that he wants to wear all the time, some flowers that M picked for his momma, park walking, and John's efforts at making me coffee last week (a little turkey rub in place of coffee grounds).
