We spent last week at our favorite beach destination on Lake Michigan. We look forward to this trip for a looonnng time and love that it's become an annual thing (Miles had me make him a countdown calendar because he asked so many times when we were going to the beach house).
All of our kiddos loved the lake this year. None were particularly fearful but all were very good about practicing water safety.

The last evening, Miles was under the weather. I took the other two down with the group to watch the sunset. Johnny was chomping on a piece of blue gum which my f-i-l wrestled away from him. After we were finished taking pictures, John picked gum up out of the sand and kept on chewing. Came to find out, it was NOT the gum that Ron had thrown away earlier. Gross.
Already looking forward to next year!!
