horses, flowers, and really big trucks

Our weekend consisted of some of our favorite things from around here.

Horses. Both boys are riding this spring, and we spent Friday afternoon out at the barn. My momma came up to watch (and then gave J and me a date night out!). Then Saturday was Derby. We celebrated with friends and some Kentucky themed food and drink. Josh says I only celebrate my inner Kentuckian on the first Saturday of May. I disagree!

Flowers. Our dogwood and phlox are beautiful right now. The crabapples were amazing last week. Such fun opportunities for photography practice!

Big trucks. Our neighbor friends have a couple of his large work trucks outside. They are outfitting a trailer into a mobile workshop. Sooo, my boys were so interested in all of the sawing and hammering that was going on next door. And M got to take a ride in the big white truck. John wasn't too bothered that he didn't get to go. He was more interested in the orange crush in his cup! We finished the weekend with some yummy Cinco de Mayo celebrating.
