To say that Miles enjoys basketball would be a gross understatement. From the time he gets up in the morning he wants to go out into the driveway or now onto the back deck to practice dribbling or his hook shot (we moved the kiddie goal out back recently so they could play no matter where we are). He improves each day and has really gotten quite good.
Last year Josh took M to his first Pacers game. This year was my turn. We picked the April 12th game vs. the Nets because we thought it would be a good game. Then we told our neighbor that we were going.
Our neighbor is Bob Leonard, Indiana basketball legend and radio announcer for the Pacers. He and his wife invited us to ride down with them. Then Bob took Miles (us) out onto the floor before the Fieldhouse had opened. Um, amazing. Miles was so excited to watch those guys warm up. I still can't get over how big they are.
The rest of the time we were escorted around the the Fieldhouse going from the media room to their hospitality suite, to our seats and back again. It was quite an experience. And so nice of our sweet neighbors to show us around.
John so desperately wanted to go. Next year.
