Miles is starting to notice his little brother a little more. He has become quite good at giving Josh and I the stink eye when we are holding John, but if John is not in our arms, Miles is becoming quite interested. He even tried to give him his pacifier yesterday when John was in the swing hollering. He kept looking at us like "please, make this kid stop crying!" He's been really good about sticking around and not trying to break out of the downstairs to go to the basement (his favorite place in the house). He loves bringing us his books and sitting next to us for stories.
Offering some gum. Hmmm.
John is such a sweet baby. He's starting to wake up more during the day and sleep more at night. Amazingly I'm not too tired yet. He's getting up (dare I put this in print) usually just once a night to eat. Let's hope this continues. He went back to the doctor early last week for a weight check and had gained a little weight back (he lost almost a whole pound before we left the hospital). Josh's parents saw him today for the first time in a couple of weeks and thought he looked bigger. Let's hope so!
John had his first real in-the-water bath this week. While he certainly didn't love it, he didn't scream too loudly and calmed down pretty quickly after.
And to end the post, a couple pictures of Miles and his new best buddy, Elmo. Since Archie is staying with my parents for a few weeks, Miles loves the company of Elmo.
