Christmas Week

It's hard to believe that another Christmas has come and so quickly passed. The last week has just flown by. It was a really special Christmas filled with lots of family, fellowship, and wonderful food. Hard to believe that 2010 is almost here (along with baby #2!).

We started our Christmas week with a trip to the zoo's Festival of Lights (or whatever Indy calls it). It was a nice night with the highlight being, as usual, a trip in to see the penguins.

Sunday we traveled to Berne to celebrate with the Habeggers and had a great time with the whole family.

We stayed home this Christmas since I'm not leaving town anymore and had lots of family coming to us (we missed you so much, though, Lu and Kurt!). Josh's parents and brother spent Christmas Eve with us, so we all woke up and had a nice breakfast. Miles opened gifts in stages so as to not be too overwhelmed. First the stocking.

Then the train table (Josh made this - nice job, huh?).

Later we got dressed (it's nice staying in your pj's until noon!) and opened more goodies. Miles loves his new roadster trike.

My parents arrived mid-afternoon and while Miles napped and we visited, Josh worked so hard in the kitchen, making the most AMAZING dish of duck, risotto, and vegetable mash. SO GOOD!

Just a cute picture of my dad and Miles sharing breakfast.
