It really hit me recently that my days of just hanging out with only Miles during the day are numbered. There will be three of us here really soon. So, with that in mind (and in my effort to get out of the house on a blustery cold winter day and avoid the Christmas break crowds), Miles and I hit the Children's Museum on Thursday. As I'd hoped, the crowds weren't too bad, and Miles really enjoyed his usual favorites. We missed their winter exhibit, though. I didn't see it until we were on our way out. Plus, (TMI?) I wasn't sure if Miles had wet through his diaper or had a little too much fun at the water table (it proved to be the latter) and didn't want to risk a wet spot on Santa's lap.
FASCINATION with the dinosaurs, both small...

and large.

The favorite attraction (always requiring a change of clothes).

Our weekend was great as Lucie and Kurt came up from Nashville on Friday to celebrate the holidays with us. We won't see them on Christmas (a sad first and hopefully last), so we celebrated early on Friday after getting out with them for a little while for dinner.
Let's open presents!

Then on Saturday, we celebrated the holidays with family and some great friends.

Wow, cheese!
