A few pictures of recent events...
We've been enjoying this fall heat wave very much. We visited the Indianapolis Zoo for the first time with our friends, Sue and Carter, and went to Hanover for our 10th reunion. We can't believe it's been 10 years already. It was great to go back and see lots of friends and the changes that have been made at HC recently. Miles enjoyed seeing his future alma mater, too.

Fall is here!
To celebrate the first weekend of fall, we picked out pumpkins at a nearby pumpkin patch. It wasn't the sweater and jeans kind of weekend that you'd expect from fall, but it was beautiful out (I think Miles even got sunburned on his face - nice parenting). He is all over the place now, pulling up everywhere. He's keeping us on our toes!

What a little time away from the parents will do...
Josh and I just returned from Vegas, and wouldn't you know, while we were away Miles started doing things that he had no interest in doing for us. He spent half of the time in Berne chasing Sophie the dog around and helping to finish Granny and Grandpa's house and the other half doing things like feeding himself and drinking from a cup. Granny (and the company of his slightly older cousins) got him picking up and eating all kinds of food. He evidently had a blast! He's been a bit clingy today, though, so at least we know he's glad we're home.
Meanwhile, we had a blast. We did some gambling, golfing, and plenty of eating/drinking and relaxing.

How do you like them apples?!
We took a trip to the apple orchard yesterday with the Stormer girls and my cousins, Kylee and Brady. I really enjoyed the dirt and grass much more than the apples.
I didn't eat any apples but you sure wouldn't know that from looking at the size of my belly!

Julia sure likes them.

I'm really into (and on top of) dad's guitar. It makes such a cool sound and is a great place to stand.

A very selfish request...
Miles has to have some very minor surgery tomorrow. While the procedure itself is very routine, he does have to be put under general anesthesia. I keep reminding myself that many parents have to watch their babies go under at much younger ages and for much more serious things, but Josh and I are still a little apprehensive about the situation. Just a selfish request to say a little prayer for Miles and his docs tomorrow morning.
Thanks!
Thanks!
