Just some randoms...

Lauren was given the go ahead for rice cereal. We tried it last week. She wasn't too impressed.

She was far more interested in her brother and what he had for breakfast. (Yes, John typically eats in just his diaper. He is a very messy eater.)

We got to play outside last week. The boys were very excited. Hooray for warmer temperatures!

Sweet Lauren has a funny little bald spot on the back of her head. It feels like she had a buzz cut on it.
Funny wet face from her recent discovery: raspberries!

We spent part of the weekend in Berne for a family get together. Once we arrived, two of the three started running fevers so I stayed back with the little ones while Josh took Miles in to see the family. I didn't take any pictures but wish I would have gotten a few, at least. Particularly of Miles and Addie "resting" in Grandma and Grandpa's big bed (so cute - both laying in bed watching cartoons), and of John and the twins chasing each other around the garage. Oh, well. Next time.

Pacers Game

Last night Josh took Miles to his first Pacers game. Josh has been wanting to do this for ages, and Miles has been talking about it forever. They got down to the Fieldhouse early to watch the teams warm up and check out the pro shop. Miles picked out a Paul George jersey and was pretty pumped to cheer on his player. I guess the guys walked through the tunnel to get to their section and when Miles saw the court for the first time, he stopped, his eyes got huge, and he said "Cool!" So cute. The guys had really good seats right behind the Pacers bench, but I was looking for them in the wrong place so I never caught a glimpse of them on tv. Miles stood up and clapped and cheered, ate lots of junk food (he was really excited about that part), and hasn't stopped talking about it since. And the Pacers won (by like 30 points).

Our Weekend

What a treat to have Lu and Kurt in town for the weekend. We did lots of low key things. Relaxing with the kids (is that an oxymoron?), talking, laughing, eating. The boys love to hang out with their Aunty and Uncle.

We had lunch out on Saturday. A certain little boy was really excited about the yummy chocolate covered donut holes. He was only allowed to eat the inside. I can't even imagine what he would have looked like if he had eaten the outside.

The big and little boys spent some time outdoors grilling and helping.
And a couple of randoms of baby Lauren and super John.
We had so much fun with L&K. Can't wait to do it again SOON!

Heart Day

A delightfully simple day. Started the day with breakfast with my Valentine (and two of our petite Valentines).
Then after school we had a little Valentine lunch with some friends of ours.

Certain little fingers couldn't wait to devour some (his brother's) goodies.
The boys do a lot of this. I mean a whole lot of this. (It's wrestling in the play sense, not the fighting sense).

Now we're getting ready for some Aunty Lu and Uncle Kurt time this weekend. Yay!

It's the best I could get of the three of them.

Four Months

Four months old!…such a sweet and smily disposition…light up (and even pump your legs and arms) when your brothers are around…smile all the time…still no tears but you really don't cry much…rolling from belly to back…giggled…wear size one diapers and some 0-3 month and some 3-6 month clothing…love your hands, especially your thumb…active in the jumperoo now…interested in toys…still noisy…spit up all the time!...doctor was super impressed with everything today...stats are 24 5/8" (70%) and 13# 3 oz (50%)...

I haven't noticed a real difference between boys and girls yet other than all of the pink in the laundry. All of our children have been very happy, agreeable babies. I wonder, though, will she be girly? Will she be wild? Will she like to do crafts with me? Will she be rough and tumble like her brothers? Can't wait to watch and find out!

February 1st

Really? Did I read my calendar correctly? Because it's so warm out that we have taken not one but two walks already today. The first was while Miles was at school. John walked around the block while I pushed Lauren. It took awhile. But he found a stick and was quite happy. The stick is still propped up against the house outside. For safekeeping.
When Miles got home, the two younger ones rode in the stroller while Miles and I walked. We didn't get too far that time since Miles decided he needed to use the bathroom and almost pulled down his pants to go on the street. Whoops - averted that embarrassment. He associated the warmer temps with going outside. I think we (Josh and I) need to work on some etiquette lessons with our oldest boy.
