We spent part of last weekend in Berne celebrating Christmas with some of Josh's extended family. My mother-in-law picked up a cake for the birthday boy and we did a little singing and a lot of eating.
Going to bed as a three year old.
And our silly four year old. Always feeding the dog (seriously, one of his favorite things to do. I hear the garbage lid open too many times a day, and lots of mealtime food is shared with Archman. His poor waistline).
After we arrived back at home, John wanted to open gifts. His new scooter.
And his request of Red Velvet Flying Cupcake for dessert (following the requested steak for dinner). He didn't waste any time blowing out those candles.
Today we celebrated again with a little snowman party for him. He was so excited to see the balloons after school. And I made snowman food (thanks Pinterest!). The shakes were kind of scary looking. Tasted fine, though.
We finished the party with an indoor snowball fight as it was snowing outside.
At four John continues to be such a funny, spunky little guy. Actually big. He's catching up to Miles pretty quickly. He loves his brother and sister so much. Tonight we separated the boys at bedtime since they were so tired but so wild. No sooner was John tucked in our bed than he hopped out and said through tears that he wanted to sleep with Miles.
He is very independent and wants help with nothing. He loves to play basketball and is always on the lookout for race cars. Favorite movies are Despicable Me and Wreck it Ralph, favorite book is I Stink, favorite food is Some Guys pizza, and he has quite a sweet tooth.
John is incredibly thoughtful and compassionate. And he keeps us laughing all the time.
A couple of other randoms. Miles had his first basketball game last weekend. So cute.
And like mother, like daughter. It's hard to tell but L's hair was in a high pony like mine. So cute (on her)!
