lately...

I'm back. New hard drive, no data recovered. Fortunately I had most images backed up and have been able to piece together a lot of others, but I still lost some good ones. It made me realize how lucky I am to have this blog. I have an awful lot of images and journal keeping right here. Whew.

So, here is a little bit of our fall. Lauren loved her birthday this year. She really got into the whole all the attention is on me, I'm getting presents and lots of cake thing. The boys enjoyed it, too.

We had Poppy come for a mid-week visit early on in October.

Lauren sometimes will allow me to do a pigtail.

Big girl at the horse farm.

We had to hit Conner Prairie one last time so Johnny could see the baby goat (that isn't so little anymore).

The children spent part of fall break in Berne. Josh and I had 3 consecutive date nights (!) and once the kiddies were back, we went downtown again for lunch. Miles loved it!

Fall around our parts. Oh, there are so many leaves to clean up...

Conner Prairie's Headless Horseman festival. This was our first year, and we all loved it. John is still talking about the Horseman.

And Halloween. The boys requested a couple of months back to be a snowman and a turkey. And they wanted Lauren to be a witch. She couldn't have cared less about the costume and didn't want her hat or broom. But the boys. They were so excited all month about the progress on their costumes. And bless Miles' heart, as soon as I put the reinforced snowman on him, it broke apart. Josh had to last minute package tape him up.
The costume didn't make it through the evening. But he wants me to repair it so he can still have it. Love him!

Miles requested that I dress as a princess.

By the homestretch, the boys had taken Lauren's place in the wagon and she was ready to go. They all had so much fun this year.

And he still loves his hat. He actually wore the white sweatsuit and the hat to get his flu shot the next day.
