gingerbread houses

We made gingerbread houses today. The kind that were put together with graham crackers and hot glue. This was a new project around here, and I wasn't sure how things would go. There's a lot of candy involved in decorating these things, and there are two little boys around here who like candy. A lot.

I set the tray down and immediately this happened.

But then the boys got down to business. They did a really nice job spreading the icing on their houses.

But it didn't take too long before this happened.

And this.

Little Lauren was content watching. And nibbling her own graham cracker.

This might be the best icing invention ever. The best tasting, too.

And the finished projects. I'm so excited that Lauren is such a natural crafter.

John did have some decorations on the side facing him. Most were eaten, though.

Poor Miles' house collapsed so we had to improvise. He did a nice job with his rebuild.

Lots and lots of leftover goodies. We may need to try this again over break!
