Wow, it's hard to believe that a month (actually 5 weeks today) has already gone by. It's already hard to imagine this house without the {beautiful} chaos that comes from having two little boys. Miles is more interested and loving toward John everyday although he still won't call him "John," only brother or baby. Guess he's not quite ready to admit that this little guy is here to stay.
John's one month appointment went well yesterday. His doctor was very pleased with his growth (9 lb, 1 oz - 40% and 22" long - 70%) as well as his sleeping and neck strength. Speaking of sleeping, I'm a little less impressed (just kidding) - he's doing pretty well at night. He's more alert during the day (although going through a bit of a fussy period) and sleeping well enough at night that I actually have to set my alarm most nights to wake him up to eat. He's not quite as good at going back to sleep, though, and with a brother in the next room, it's not so easy to let him cry and whimper on his own for a few minutes. On several occasions he's wound up sleeping upright in his bouncy seat in our room. I see a bad habit developing...
Anyway, John is really a sweet baby and we can't imagine our lives without him. We're seeing more and more smiles, too, which we love!
